SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

SK Energy Shots is seeking a Senior Accountant for its growing energy shot business.

The Company is a dynamic fast-paced beverage business, which launched September 15.  SK Energy Shots is unique due to its superior taste, 100% natural flavors and 100% natural caffeine, and one-for-one give back partnership with the United Nations World Food Program.  We are partly owned by 50 Cent, the musician-turned-mogul who was partly responsible for Vitamin Water’s success.

The successful candidate should be ambitious, pro-active and have the ability to roll up their sleeves and get into transaction level detail and process.  They should have a strong attention to detail and be able to create process, controls and identify areas for efficiency within Finance.  The candidate should be comfortable interacting with senior management and should be comfortable with meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy to achieve the timely recording of all transactions.
  • Responsible for managing the general ledger application (NetSuite)
  • Responsible for the month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation.
  • Development of operational procedures and documentation of data flow
  • Development of system controls to ensure data integrity
  • Point person for troubleshooting financial system issues
  • Liaison with accounting software, and other system vendors and consultants
  • Serve as project manager for any system implementation or upgrades
  • Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements
  • Assist in special projects as necessary

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Accounting
  • Two to four years of experience in public/private accounting preferred; CPA a plus
  • Consistent track record of achievement and growth throughout career
  • Highly collaborative with entrepreneurial energy
  • Utmost integrity is a MUST to be a part of our company
  • Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management experience preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus
  • Experience in a start-up environment a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
